We are proud to offer this ever-evolving selection of wines, beer, sweet and savory bites, and soft drinks. Curated by two local standouts, the inspiration here is drawn from the history and location of the historic building that houses us. The building was built by John and Johanna Fugazi and given in trust to the community of North Beach. We have prioritized gifted local purveyors to create a diverse and vibrant mix of options equal to the diverse and vibrant talents on our stage.

    Taralli is yeast-leavened crackers similar to breadsticks. They originate from the southern Italian peninsula, especially Puglia. Taralli have a delicate texture that crumbles pleasantly. We serve imported taralli from the Terre di Puglia company. Flavors TBD - caccio e pepe.

    We serve a mixture of California-grown olives, castelvetrano, picholine, nicoise, and calamata from Home Maid Ravioli Co. We buy the brined olives and marinate them in house with… (olive oil, orange zest, oregano, and chili peppers?)

    Jose Gourmet is a company based out of Portugal that makes very delicate tinned fish products. The name Jose, coming from Yosef “the one who adds on”, shows their intent to add to the knowledge passed down and collected from all of the “Jose’s” of history. Both the sardines and mackerel are delicately seasoned and packed in oil. The sardines have a balanced and nuanced smokiness.

    Di Stefano Burrata & Rustic Bakery Crackers --- $15

    Di Stefano is a family-owned cheese company located in Pomona California. They only use milk from pasture-raised cows free of rBST growth hormone. Burrata is a cow's milk (although sometimes water buffalo milk is used) cheese similar to fresh mozzarella, but much softer and delicate. Burrata is stracciatella and cream encased in a mozzarella curd. Stracciatella is a shredded cheese curd mixed with fresh cream.

    A playful menu option that is savory and very slightly sweet. The hot dog is sliced into coins and baked in pillowy soft bread dough with green onions. Great for kids and adults alike. Fancy Wheat Fields Bakery has several locations in the Bay Area, we work with the one located at Stockton & Vallejo where they sell a wide variety of sweet and savory Chinese confections.

    Bohemian Creamery Artisan Cheese Plate --- $18

    Bohemian Creamery is located in Sebastopol California. Founded by Lisa Gottreich and recently taken over by longtime cheese maker Webster Marquez. Bohemian makes classical Italian-style cheeses with a little Sebastopol flair. We offer three unique kinds of cheese as follows:

    Cowabunga - a fresh cow's milk cheese featuring a slightly tangy & sweet paste and a slightly bloomy rind. It is filled with cajeta, a sweet, caramelized goat’s milk similar to dulce de leche.

    Twist & Shout - An ancient and formerly lost style of cheese called Piacentino Ennese that was originally conceived to cure a noblewoman’s depression. The sheep’s milk paste is mixed with peppercorns and saffron before being aged in a bee’s wax rind. It is simultaneously mild and robust.

    Romeo - The most straightforward cheese on our plate, this goat’s milk cheese is the longest aged cheese Bohemian offers. Aged up to 15 months, it is nutty and rich.

    Served with olive oil and sel gris crackers from Rustic Bakery. Founded in Novato in 2005, Carol LeValley and Josh Harris make what may be the only sourdough flatbread crackers around. We find the simple olive oil and salt crackers an ideal pairing to the cheese without overpowering the nuance.

THE CHEFS

Chef Auden Golder (Jardiniere) curates our offering of small and shareable plates. Vito Passero (Vivande, Oliveto) curates the wine, beer, and soft drink offerings.

 

Chef Audie Golder was born and raised in San Francisco and began helping his mom in the kitchen as a toddler.  A graduate of Johnson & Wales, Audie has worked in the San Francisco restaurant industry since 2005.  Most recently he was Executive Chef at Jardiniere where he worked closely with local farmers and artisans of the Bay Area, many of whom are represented in Club Fugazi's menu

 

Chef Vito Passero, wine director for Club Fugazi, has lived in the Bay Area for nearly 40 years, and is a Graduate of Culinary Institute of America. He served as the wine director for both Vivande Restaurant and Oliveto Restaurant and is currently a chef at the Bohemian Grove. Vito started and led the East Bay Oakland Slow Food Convivium.

    Z Cioccolato Dark Chocolate Fudge

    Z Cioccolato has been in business for nearly 20 years on Columbus Ave in San Francisco.  Owner Mike Zwiefelhofer took over the business in 2015 following a lifelong passion for sweets.  They make small batch gourmet fudge, only 6lbs at a time.  Fudge is a soft candy made from sugar, butter, and milk that has a  texture somewhere between fondant icing and caramel.

    Sable is a French Shortbread originating in Normandy.  These have the addition of cocoa powder

    Stella Bakery pine nut amaretto cookie 

    A classic cookie made from almond flour, egg white, and sugar.  These are topped with pine nuts.

    Others may know this as a thumbprint cookie.  Stella bakery makes a sugar cookie then fills the center indentation with two different jams, apricot & raspberry.
