  • Department: Ticketing

    Compensation: $20-22/hr. Benefits eligible after 90 days

    Hours: 35-40 hours/week. Shifts are typically 11:30 am - 8:15 pm with some variation for special events. Weekends and some holidays required. (Full time hours preferred, open to stellar part time candidates)

    Location: On site at our North Beach, San Francisco theatre and offices

    Description:

    Club Fugazi Experiences (CFE) is seeking an experienced, friendly, tech savvy, detail oriented, and broadly culturally competent Box Office Associate. Reporting to the Director of Ticketing & Box Office Operations, the successful candidate will provide our guests with industry-leading customer service over the phone, via email, and in person.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Ticketing Operations

    Provide excellent customer service over the phone, via email, and in person. Present your authentic, friendly, professional self as the voice of Club Fugazi by maintaining a high standard of presentation, dealing promptly and professionally with all guest requests, demonstrating empathy for guest needs, engaging with guests enthusiastically, and providing guests with industry leading customer service.

    Develop and maintain proficiency in all CFE systems and tools, including but not limited to: Nliven Ticketing, SpotOn POS, Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Forms, Gmail), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Slack, 3CX phone software, etc.

    Operate the computer-based ticketing system to sell and exchange tickets for all performances.

    Process and redeem account credits, gift cards, vouchers, comp requests, and internal ticket purchases.

    Maintain accurate data files for cross-department reference.

    Distribute will call tickets and troubleshoot time sensitive ticket issues at each performance.

    Investigate discrepancies, resolve guest concerns, and escalate to a manager when necessary. Advocate on the guest’s behalf for the ideal outcome.

    Maintain knowledge of all Club Fugazi events, offerings, and procedures.

    Communicate and enforce policies and procedures with grace and sensitivity.

    Assist in maintaining inventory, implementing promotions, and fulfilling ADA seating requests.

    Assist Director of Ticket Operations and Group Sales Manager with special projects.

    Administrative

    Follow proper procedures in the handling of cash, check, and credit card transactions.

    Regularly run reports and distribute via email.

    Assist with general office work, including inventory of box office supplies, replenishing postcard displays, filing, stuffing envelopes, stamping mail, etc.

    Maintain good data practices - accurately entering guest names and contact details during sales and internal tracking spreadsheets. Process orders accurately and efficiently.

    Maintain and submit accurate personal work records, including timesheets and schedule requests.

    Keep desk/work space well organized and as clear as possible to present a professional work environment to guests.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    1+ years customer service, including cash handling experience.

    Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.

    Must have excellent verbal and telephone etiquette, and exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to the highest standards of customer service.

    Exceptional attention to detail.

    Ability to balance operating quickly and efficiently with periodic lulls.

    Positive disposition, maturity, drive, and enthusiasm, with proven ability to work with a diverse range of staff and guests.

    Must be a collaborative team player, able to work independently and collaboratively on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast paced, customer-focused environment.

    Should be curious about the arts, about food, about the guests, and about the full operations of the Club.

    Previous box office experience is a plus.

    Knowledge, skills, abilities

    Computer proficiency is a must (Excel, Gmail, Google Drive) – experience with ticketing software strongly preferred.

    Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, improvise, and problem solve on the go.

    High integrity and respect for confidentiality.

    Able to lift up to 15 lbs, as needed.

    Able to sit for 4–8 hours at a time.

    Able to sustain good verbal phone communication throughout a 4-8 hour shift.

    Able to look at a computer screen, type, and use a computer keyboard and mouse throughout a 4-8 hour shift.

    Covid Protocol:

    All staff must follow Club Fugazi Experiences’ COVID protocols, which may change over time. Currently, all staff must be vaccinated and perform twice-weekly rapid tests.

    Compensation: $17/hr.

    Hours: Part time position, 10-30 hrs/wk. Typically Wednesday-Saturday 5:0 pm - 9:30pm, with some required evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
    Location: On site at our North Beach, San Francisco theatre and offices.

    Description:

    Club Fugazi Experiences is seeking a few personable, motivated, dependable Guest Experience Ushers to support the spirit, safety, and culture of Club Fugazi, creating an enjoyable experience for our guests.

    The position is ideal for students, performers, or those needing to augment their income. Hourly wage, plus perks such as discounted merch, beverages, and show tickets.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Guest Experience Ushers provide the first point of welcome and assistance to our audiences, greeting and engaging our guests as they would at home.

    Ushers scan guest’s tickets, verify vaccination/booster information and check ID’s. Greet guests as they enter, direct guests to their seats and varied areas of the theatre.

    Be attentive to concerns or problems that may arise during a performance, immediately communicating those issues to the House Manager.

    After performances engage guests, answer questions, and thank guests as they depart.

    Assist team members with set-up and clean-up tasks before and after performances.

    Respond to guest comments and complaints in a friendly manner referring them to the House Manager. Assist the Guest Experience Lead Usher with patron relations.

    Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

    Safety:

    Throughout the show, maintain the safety protocols in place for the artists and the audience. Provide calm support to the Guest Experience Managers, maintain clear communication with the Guest Experience staff, and remain connected to the guests.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous experience in theatre, ushering, or related experiences required.

    Must be friendly and personable with excellent communication and people skills.

    Track record of working well as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-focused, environment.

    An enthusiastic appreciation for entertainment and the performing arts.
